A simple three-year bond.
You lend a fixed amount. We pay you 18% interest each year. At the end of year three, you get that year's interest and your full amount back.

For example, a $10,000 bond pays $1,800 in year one and $1,800 in year two. In year three you receive $1,800 plus your $10,000 back. That is $5,400 earned over three years. All amounts are in US dollars. Figures are illustrative.
